Golf is the most one-sided movement you willingly repeat thousands of times
Every swing is an explosive rotation in one direction, followed by nothing in the other. Do that for thirty years, fifty times a round, and your body builds a shape around it. Not as an injury, as a pattern.
At some point that pattern makes itself known. In almost everyone, in the same four places.
Your backswing gets shorter and you don't notice
Rotation doesn't disappear all at once, it leaks away. A few degrees a year. You compensate with your arms, lift your heel earlier, open up sooner. Your swing still feels the same, and it isn't anymore.
Your lower back picks up the tab
What your hips and thorax no longer rotate has to come from somewhere. That becomes your lower back. Not because it's weak, but because it's delivering rotation it was never built to provide.
By hole twelve you're a different player
That's usually not fitness. That's a nervous system that has been running hot the whole round and eventually hits the brakes. Your timing goes first, your decisions after.
Stretching doesn't bring it back
Your pro gave you stretches you never did. Even if you had, they wouldn't have stuck. Here's why.
Your body holds tension because it thinks it has to
Stretching lengthens a muscle. Your nervous system decides that's unsafe and pulls it back, often within a day. That's why stretching feels like work and so little changes.
Fascial Maneuvers work from the other side. They give your nervous system a signal that the tension is no longer needed, and then the body lets go on its own. No force, no stretch, no fight. That's also why it lasts: nothing was pushed back that wants to spring forward again.
Fascia is one whole
The connective tissue that runs through your entire body and connects everything. That's why a stuck hip can limit your shoulder backswing, and why you sometimes feel a release somewhere other than where I'm working.
Your swing is already a fascia movement
A good swing is storing and releasing elastic energy. That's exactly what fascia does. A golfer with free connective tissue gets clubhead speed that doesn't come from strength.
You can do it yourself
I don't work on you, I teach you. The end goal is that you can reset your own body: before your first tee shot, between holes, and on the flight to your golf trip.
Other sports started training fascia. Golf is behind.
In tennis, football and combat sport, fascia is now a normal part of how a body is worked with. In golf it is still almost always about technique, equipment and launch monitor numbers. That is not wrong, it is just not the layer where your rotation has been left.
Tennis
Novak Djokovic uses Fascial Maneuvers from Human Garage. During Wimbledon it was there to see, the same specific maneuvers, and the footage is on Instagram and TikTok. Tennis asks the same one-sided rotation golf does. And it is not only rotation. The same tissue wraps your ribcage and your diaphragm, so it decides how deeply you breathe standing over a shot, and it holds the stress you carried onto the first tee. If this is what one of the finest athletes who ever played uses to keep all of that free, there is no reason your swing should be left out of it.
Football and combat sport
Mads Tömörkènyi has been teaching fascia since 2014 and works as a movement coach with fighters in the UFC and footballers in the Premier League, La Liga and the Bundesliga. He came out of the absolute elite of Danish football. In those rooms this is no longer an alternative angle, it is part of the week.
Golf
Titleist's own Performance Institute already teaches it. In its Fitness Level 2 certification you learn “practical interventions and protocols to restore mobility in connective tissue, such as your fascia”. Yet on the range and in the pro shop you barely hear about it. You buy a lesson, a fitting, sometimes a scan, and nobody looks at the tissue that carries your rotation. Fascia is early here. That is exactly why there is ground to take now that the rest of your fourball cannot see yet.
Fascial Maneuvers isn't something I made up
It's the method built by Human Garage, the organization that certified me. The numbers below are theirs.
Co-founder Garry Lineham: "Yoga took 2,000 years to become a global movement. We've done it in 7."
Human Garage has been featured in the New York Post, Daily Mail, Chicago Tribune, and Fox News.

Where golfers notice it first
Not all of this applies to everyone, and I don't promise numbers. This is what golfers report back themselves, in the order it usually shows up.
- Rotation and swingMore room in the backswing without fighting for it, a freer follow-through, and sequencing that costs less effort.
- Pain and comfortLess pulling in the lower back after a round, and a neck and shoulders that aren't still locked up after the eighteenth.
- Recovery and travelLoosening up faster after a round, and a body that doesn't need a full day to recover after a flight or a long drive.
- Nervous system on the courseStaying calmer under pressure and after a bad shot, and being the same player on the last holes as on the first.
- Playing longerFor most members this is the real point. Not ten extra meters at fifty, but still walking eighteen holes at seventy-five.
- IndependenceYou won't need me after this. You'll have a handful of maneuvers you can do yourself, wherever you play.
Free, 15 minutes, and if it's not a fit I'll tell you straight.
De Hilversumsche, from above
I'm a member, not a visitor. That second shot on fifteen is familiar, the one where your back has been talking to you the whole round. So are the players who walk stiffly back to the car at the end of the day and have started to think that's normal. It isn't. It's a pattern, and patterns are there to be let go.

What Fascial Maneuvers does for me.
The certification came from wanting to help people transform their lives and get healthy again. Not for my own golf. But when I started applying Fascial Maneuvers on myself, the results came almost immediately: first in golf and in running, but really in almost everything. Even walking down the stairs in the morning: my ankles are no longer stiff and no longer hurt.
On the course itself: eighteen holes now, carrying my own bag, completely fit. No more pain in my lower back, no loss of energy. Just a lot freer.
My work with Hans has been truly interesting. Hans shares a unique wisdom about the human body and the energy that connects us all. After all, this is the essence of healing, so my new journey with Hans has been a great experience, and I'm looking forward to many more!

Honest answers, including where it doesn't work
Is this a lesson? Are you going to work on my swing?
What actually is fascia?
I already stretch. Why would this work differently?
How fast will I notice something?
Do I need to stay off the course for this?
I'm 60-plus. Is this still for me?
Who is this not for?
Why haven't I heard about this from my pro?
You've played thirty years with the same body. It's allowed to get something back.
Thirty minutes on the phone, or send me a message. You say what you're up against and get an honest answer on whether this is it. If it's not, you'll hear where to look instead.
Fascia isn't the only layer I look at. At Dragonfly Water Solutions I work with water, energy, sound, and light to support the body more broadly.
